Every year during our annual training conference, we try to recognize our peers and people in our community, who have done an exceptional job during the year. Here is a list of awards to be given and their description:


John Rhodes Award :
Our most prestigious award is for the Animal Control or Humane Officer that goes above and beyond the call of duty and who exemplifies the role of our profession.

Officer of the Year  Award
This award will be given to the Animal Control or Humane Officer who exhibits dedication to the program.

Pause for Applause Award
This award is for a friend  of  Animal Control who has given of themselves to assist in any way.

Veterinarian of the Year Award
Is presented to a veterinarian who has provided outstanding services to aid animal control.

Outstanding Shelter Award
This award is for a Missouri Shelter (municipal or humane society) that is improving the quality of life for companion animals. A shelter that goes exceeds the industry’s standards, either by implementing new programs, increasing adoptions, establishing spay/neuter programs or public outreach programs will be eligible.


I am sure you can think of one person/shelter and possibly more that fit into one or more of these categories. Please nominate those people so they can be recognized for their hard work.
